Ok Greg, I will try that. I have been avoiding that because it looks like I have to remove the gas valve to get inside the furnace in any way. An update I have is that if I short the Red and White wires at the thermostat (tape them together) the furnace runs and heats fine as long as they are shorte...

The water heater is gas and it is 7 months old. I was also told the pilot light is out but I'm not sure how that would give me no water at all. I am going to see what is going on.

Thank you for the links Mark. It is working fine for two days now, knock on wood.
