re-sticking glued tile
I have some tiles that were glued in place and fell off. These are vertical tiles along the facing edge of the bathroom counter top. I was wondering two things: 1) Is there a special type of adhesive I should use or would any construction adhesive do? 2) Any ideas on how do I keep the tiles from fal...

Re: CAULKING:: Should I caulk along here?
Looking at the pic.... are those even the right size windows? This is a palm Harbor... but it looks like the windows were made for a 2X6 exterior wall due to how much stick out there is... the walls are actually 2X4...

CAULKING:: Should I caulk along here?
I'm re doing the caulking and came across this bathroom window situation. My first thought is to not caulk this part (it's already not caulked) but I wanted to see what others thought: (see pics)

Re: Staples or Nails for Siding Trim?
Thanks Greg, I think you're right. I went into HF today and passed when I saw those little 18ga staples.

Staples or Nails for Siding Trim?
I'm eyeballing an 18ga stapler from harbor freight and was wondering if this would be good for fastening trim to t111 siding or if I should just stick to nailing it? 8" belly band trim as well?

Re: Is underbelly material even necessary?
I too am in Arizona ..Mesa and I dont see a need for the underbelly material here, pipes do not freeze and the critters are scarce besides scorpions and common spiders etc... No coyotes in my crawlspace either :) Craig, cheers fellow valley brother! The east valley seems to be a popular place - I'm...

Re: Is underbelly material even necessary?
Yakima, I don't intend to rip mine out but I was just noticing that this manu setup is identical to my previous stick built and we've never had any issues with just open joists. The stickbuilt had only one layer of OSB subfloor, vented crawlspace etc... no issues with it being open like that. If I e...

Is underbelly material even necessary?
Prior to moving into our current home (a Palm Harbor Double Wide 1994) we lived in a stick built home on a stemwall which had 2X6 joists, no insulation underneath in the crawl space, and no belly material whatsoever. All the plumbing was installed in the crawlspace much like a manufactured home and ...

What to place behind my lower T1-11 OSB Siding?
We've had a bit of moisture lately out here in AZ and I notice some warping of my lower trim where the t1-11 siding meets the CMU block skirting. Upon inspection the trim disintegrated in my hands revealing water saturated siding on the lower 6" or so of the T1-11 OSB style siding. I opened up ...

Re: Plugged Condensate Drain
My dad ran his own HVAC company for many years. He had a little Co2 bottle he would use to blow the drains out. Worked every time. If I recall correctly the end of it was ran through a rubber stopper so when he held it up against the drain it was a tight fit.

Walling in Exterior Door / Vapor Barrier question
Hi Guys, I have a 92 double wide Palm Harbor home. I plan on removing an exterior door that leads into one of the bedrooms and framing it in, siding it etc.. 1) My first question is should I expect there to be a tar felt used for a vapor barrier or perhaps a Tyvek type synthetic wrap? 2) In the even...
