Re: Dishwasher drain change
If you do decide to remove the disposal you just need to connect this to the tailpiece on the bottom of the strainer of the sink. Just connect the hose from the dishwasher that connected to the disposal to the little arm on this piece. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-1-1-2-in-x-8-in-Plastic-Dish...

I don't know what type of roofing that you have but if it is shingled and you have vinyl soffit it is possible a piece came loose. If the wind is blowing even just a little I have seen it happen where the soffit will flutter like when the breeze blows. Just a thought.

Re: New flooring in bathroom - questions
Definitely agree with both Greg and yakima4$ above. Smooth sanded 3/4" plywood screwed and glued down, fill screw holes with floor leveler then lay the vinyl and you will never have a problem again. Get rid of that mush board.

Re: Ceiling joist
How wide is the home? Did they put center pairs running down underneath?
Sounds like the set up might not of have been done right to me. Does it sag any in the middle?

Re: Electrical Wiring
I agree with Greg,
Don't take the chance of burning your place down or worse getting hurt. There are many things that could be popping the breaker so getting a quality licensed electrician to at least check everything out is the way to go.
Be safe,
Ron

Re: Restudding walls
Technically your top plate would not be working like a full top plate unless your roof trusses sit on them so I would think if you just use the 2x4 as a spacer connected to the 2x2 it would serve your purpose. Your top plate spacer will not be holding up anything so it would not matter. Are you goin...

Re: Now i AM worried!!!!
I don't think you have to worry if you did change the valve and then use the threaded end connected to it and then the toilet you could easily change it every five years or so if you are afraid of breakage. I would think that the plastic nut types are in 40 to 60% of houses today and they don't brea...

Re: Now i AM worried!!!!
Most of the nuts are plastic now because the threaded parts on the fill valves are plastic. It's not that good to go from plastic to metal but like I said, did your neighbor have work done on the toilet lately? Most of the time when these break it is because someone tightened the nut to tight and th...

Re: Now i AM worried!!!!
This does happen all the time, even in full houses. These nuts are used on most toilets. the problems are that after year go by the plastic gets hard and cracks especially if you have high water pressure. Also sometimes when someone changes a toilet they tighten the nut too much and it will crack ju...

Re: reflective roll insulation for roofing
It seems to me one good wind storm and that would be gone. Maybe a new covering for some kind of solar panels? Maybe knock on the door and ask about it.

Re: so many questions
Are you sure that door locked before? That is so far off that if you got it lined up the door would not shut. The hole that is 2" up might have been for a deadbolt lock but there should also be one for the latch lock. Do you have any pictures? They help a lot. Maybe take one of the door area an...

Re: Window and Door replacement advice
Not sure what you can do for the window other then make it a little bigger. As for the door with that RO you need a 32" door and if you can take out one of the 2x4s that are for the header you can get a 76" high door, so it would be a 32 x 76 door. This is a stock made size but you still m...

Re: Water under mobile home
I would think if the water is laying there and not draining then even if you fill that area with dirt you will just get mud or at the least wet dirt. You have to see if you can find a way to make the water drain away from the home. Or maybe dig a small hole lay down some gravel and install a sump pu...

I would scrape off all the loose spots then power wash then coat it with Koolseal roof coating. I have seen way worse.

You sure they were not in the middle of doing a metal roof? Seems like that would not hold up at all to the rain and UV rays.
