DGAT056BDD first two flash, now one flash

Postby casper98 » Tue Jan 17, 2012 1:46 pm

1995 Coleman DGAT056BDD. Old booster motor ran but I was getting a centrifugal switch (two flash) code. Replaced booster/centrifugal unit and got rid of the two flash code but still don't have a furnace because of the one flash ignition failure code. Now what? Flow chart seems to point to the ignitor. I can hear the centrifugal click, ignitor doesn't glow as it should, I hear the gas valve open and close. Seems odd that two things would fail simultaneously.. Help! It's cold out :(

If everything is "clicking" correctly and igniter is not glowing, replace igniter. I would test for power to the igniter first with a multitester. You should get 120v to the igniter terminals/plug at some point during the start up process. If you have power then igniter is bad.
