I'm hoping you can help us. We purchased a new Manufactured home this April, and never had to use the heater until this past month. We have a Nordyne E3 Series. Our electric bill went up by 3000 kwh! Could there be something wrong with the heater? Maybe defective? How would we know. Please help, because we can't afford another $1200 bill for one month!

Hi,

That's a little excessive, most stay around the $300/$400 avg. depending on location and t-stat setting.

Have an hvac tech come check it .

I am assuming you watch elect. usage with lights and such and don't keep t-stat set up in the 70's.

Thanks,
Robert
