had smoke coming out of the left side bottom of unit,
opened it up to the left of the heating coils their appears to
have been a thermostat of some type i think 4 wires attached
the part was burned into nothing that i could really identify
any help like part type and nbr would be appreciated.

Hi,
Most likely a limit switch, so with it burnt, need to have the amperages tested to find reason for burn.
You also have a sequencer in there, but more than 4 wires attached.
With burnt parts, it can be deceiving.
How many terminals does it have, can you tell ?
