I have a Nordyne furnace model E2EB-020HA that is about 8 yrs old.
The furnace cycles normally however the blower will not shut off. It will cycle speeds as it should while the heat is on however if you try to turn it off from the thermostat the blower keeps running. The only way to turn off the blower is to shut off the breakers.
We called a repairmen and he stated that we needed a new blower motor. Does this sound correct as he wants to charge us $800 for a new motor and housing?
I can order the motor and install it myself (it is part number 902993) if this is correct but I want to make sure that it is not something like a stuck fan relay or something equivelent.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Nordyne E2EB-020HA blower runs constantly
Hi,
Most likely a bad sequencer which controls the blower motor in heat mode.
Sequencer # 01-0843 can be seen and ordered through PayPal
from right side of page here :
http://www.mobilehomerepair.com/NordyneElec.html
Sometimes, it can be the t-stat, but usually it is the sequencer.
As for the rip-off artist pretending to be a repairman, tell him no thanks.
Thanks,
Robert

Hi,
The Fan Relay is for Cool Auto or Fan On modes. Not needed if you have no a/c or if your blower works for a/c and in Fan On.
If you have a/c, set t-stat to Off and Fan On and see if blower works.
If so, fan relay not needed.
Thanks,
Robert
