The fan comes on for about 30 second after the heating cycle ends is this normal.

Is the red control light suppose to be on all the time?

Great forum.

Hi Andy,

No. Usually due to heat chamber being dirty, fan switch on/off temps too close, etc.. where there is residual heat enough for blower to come back on until it gets cooled down enough.

Yes, light on shows module/board/control is receiving power.

Thanks,
Robert

Is it possible to clean the heat chamber? Thanks for the quick reply by the way.

Yes, but would not advise it for DIY unless experienced at it.

Thanks,
Robert

Ok thanks, one more question do they make a more efficient furnace that would fit the same as the model I have if we decide to replace the whole furnace.

Thanks

Hi Andy,

Anything newer than a few years will be somewhat more efficient. Some more than others.

If you go that route, get an hvac contractor to give you info on what is available.

Thanks,
Robert
