I have a few half dollar and quarter size holes in my vinyl siding from hail that hit last year. What would be the best way to seal them? I have one on the wall that my headboard in my bedroom that I never noticed and I think it has leaked water and now messed the sheetrock up that I am going to have to replace. After further inspection I have found a few more. So looking for the best product to patch these holes.

Repairs might be covered by your insurance policy. Call your agent.

It's really not a problem big enough to get involved with insurance. Be more of a hassle than it's worth. I found some vinyl hole tape for siding and skirting that will work.

Short of replacement, that tape is probably your best bet. The repair tape sold through this web site (Books & Parts link at top of page) wouls stick and seal real well. It is white and would need to be painted. This tape is not specifically a vinyl siding tape, it is a roof repair tape. It should last for many years.

The best way would be to get replacement pieces of siding. How old is the home? Are you the original owner? You might be able to find out from the manufacture what type and brand of siding it is.

Yes, I'm the original owner. Bought it in 2003. I may look into that as a final/long term solution. But I am going to go with the tape for now as a short term solution.
