Pilot Blows Out After Thermostat Reaches Temp

Postby kbb » Thu Dec 15, 2011 8:11 pm

Coleman Presidential 7670 856

The pilot light blows out once the thermostat temp is reached. We've replaced the thermocouple, the gas valve, the thermostat and the filters. The unit works great, gives plenty of heat, the pilot lights easily and we've got a nice blue flame, but once it reaches temperature and shuts off, the pilot goes out at the same time.

Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem? Thank you for your help! :)

Hi & welcome. Just a shot here, but is it possible that the roof cap is gone or allowing a down draft to blow out the pilot?

Greg, the roof cap is tight and we can't find any drafts. The pilot goes out when the electronics shut down. Any thoughts?
