I have been quoted a price of $3600 for a replacement unit on my doublewide to install a Intertherm 2.5 ton 13 seer package unit. 410A Puron, 8KW heater, with thermostat and humidistat. Will be hooked in to existing ductwork. Is this a reasonable price for South coastal Florida.

Thanks

Pricing on units vary so much throughout the country that the best way to check is get multiple bids. I would recommend staying with a brand like Intertherm (Nordyne) or Coleman (Evcon) that is specifically designed for a mobile home. If you find that the dealers are sticking close to the estimates try to get them to give you a ten year parts and labor warranty at a reduced rate or at no charge. With the price of gas going up and labor costs rising an extended warranty is more important then ever.
