What holds the Miller furnace in there??
Well fellers I tried the search button and got 475 hits on "remove"...arrrghhh! I have a simple question...what all is involved in removing (without damaging) a Miller furnace? I can remove the stack/exhaust pipe easy enough and the wiring and fuel line is a no-brainer but what else holds it in the cabinet? I'm not seein' much in the way of screws or other hardware. If it matters it's a 1970s.w. with the original kero furnace. I'd like to replace the floor under the furnace as its not very level and I'm redoing the floor in that area of the home anyway. Thanks a bunch. Audie..the baffled Oldfart.
Hey Audie,
Depends on installer, could be thousands of hidden screws/fasteners or more likely none to a few.
Look down sides, back and bottom and along inside bottom and back.
If any room, use mirror to look at back of furnace.
Should reveal what if anything is there. Screws, strapping, L-brackets.
Take care and best wishes,
Robert
