Re: Lawn equipment
I would have liked to have a Stihl or Echo trimmer, but, I just couldn't swing what they wanted for those!!! The Toro was rated one of the best in the price range I was looking for, and, it took the Expand-It attachments that can be found at most stores. I wanted a trimmer with different attachments...

Re: Generator Transfer Panel?
I did some research, and, the receptacle that's in the small box won't work anyway. When I saw that when I bought the place, I was thinking it was for an air compressor, as I know the PO did alot of car work, and had air tools. It was just odd that it wasn't hooked into the main panel in the house, ...

Generator Transfer Panel?
I fired up the generator this afternoon, and something got me thinking. Below the outside meter is a switch/breaker that cuts power off the grid. It's wired after the meter, as the meter is fed from a pole just behind the meter. There is another box beside the meter/switch/breaker. This looks like i...

Lawn equipment
What kinds of lawn equipment does everyone have? I bought an old Murray 20" mower from ReStore for $5 that runs like a champ. I just got a new Toro string trimmer that accepts attachments as well as a Ryobi blower attachment for it. They work great!! http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk184/Jee...

Yep, getting strip stick-on foam tomorrow for that very thing! I was thinking of that last night. Thanks for the tip!

Counter Top Lift Out Section
I made a lift out section for the counter top, it worked out well. The wife wanted a section between the stove and the counter top where the sink is. She needed it removable so she could get to the drawer in that corner. Here it is without the section: http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk184/JeepsO...

Re: Skirting on the Cheap
Got the back of the home done today. The area under the bay windows was a little tricky, but, it worked nicely. http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk184/JeepsOLot/Mobile%20Home%20in%20Stuart/Skirting/2012-03-24_15-44-11_826.jpg http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk184/JeepsOLot/Mobile%20Home%20in%20...

Re: Skirting on the Cheap
I'm planning on doing something like that at the bottom, but, for now, I just want it sealed under there. I still need to put in strips on the ground to hold the bottom of the panels, hopefully this weekend.

Here's an update on the place. The kitchen is almost finished; sink in, faucets are in, dishwasher hooked up, fridge hooked up to water and making ice, and garbage disposal installed. Here is the finished sink: http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk184/JeepsOLot/Mobile%20Home%20in%20Stuart/The%20Reno...

Back Up Generators, what do you have?
I just got a generator for hurricane season, and I was wondering what everyone else in the mobile home world is using for emergency power. Here is my purchase: http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk184/JeepsOLot/2012-03-01_13-42-48_567.jpg http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk184/JeepsOLot/2012-03-01...

Re: First time MH Renter/Possible Buyer
Thanks, guys, I appreciate the encouragement! This is the first time I've ever done something like this on my own and to this scale. My dad taught me alot when I was living with them, as things needed to be done around the house, I was there to learn and help. Now, it looks like I'll be putting that...

Re: First time MH Renter/Possible Buyer
As for the titling, the place is deeded to the land, so, I guess it's considered real estate then. As for the renovation, I started on the kitchen. If you scroll up, you'll see the state of the kitchen as first seen. Well, here are the updated pics as of this weekend' http://i280.photobucket.com/alb...
