Re: Fireplace tips
Your fan motor is just. Like the Broan replacement motor for bath vents that they sell at Lowes and HD. Except the fan is different; the replacement doesn't come with the bladed fan, it's more of a non-directional rotor, that I don't get.

"all-purpose" doesn't mean elmer's... There is an all-purpose plumbing glue. You need to talk to the plumbing guy @ the hardware store.

Roof seal in winter
I had to repo a metal/metal '79 SW lonnie deal, there a couple spot leaks in the roof. Last coating was white elastomeric roll-on, and it needs a coat. BUT: Washington winter weather not conducive to this, as it's water based, and requires evaporation to cure. Best I can hope for is maybe 50 degrees...

There is a glue particular to the ABS plastic, ask the guy at the store. Tightness, finger tight plus a flat or two with channel lock pliers. Merry Christmas

Re: Hot water TPR line routing
So many people don't even say the location where they are asking about, i.e. where they live (sigh). Where *I* am, in western WA, it is required to run it outside the skirting, elbowed to drain down, 6-12" from the ground. 3/4" pvc with 2 elbows thru a hole in the deck, and one in the skir...

I like the interior trim - is that off the shelf from Lowe's or custom? Wood or something else? Stain & polyurethane? I always use mdf & high gloss white paint. It's more neutral, but I like yours

Try some Combat gel for the roaches: it comes in a large syringe. Put in out of the way nooks & crannies: behind socket plates, floor to wall joints inside cabinets, behind stove, etc. Looks good.

Yet, no one is addressing this guy's issue. He isn't going to replace his skirt, he wants to insulate. I recommend foam board with screws & washers. Or fiberglas batts & spray glue. Somebody even told me once about hay bales end-to-end against the skirt on the inside.

Google "Deals on Wheels", read it, and find a place. Your plan is a classic example of "free ain't free." Of course, it's 2 months since your original post, so you're already don3 something. I'dbe curious to find out what that is, and your progress...

Meh, that brown painted floor looks good in the photos, but I'm sure it shows every speck of dirt. I'd like to hear back from industrial-corrugated-metal-ceiling girl on how she feels about their color choice now...

Replacing the hwt every 3 or 4 years seems overkill; have you ever tried just flushing it out?
