The Gulf seas are suppose to be 2 feet tomorrow so might go fishing with the fellow down the road. We have a couple of grouper spots 60 miles out. Have...

RE: What type of PEX fittings
Hi busybee1952
Mark sells the crimp tools on this site. I have both the 1/2 and 3/4 inch tools and go/no-go gauge.
Lots of google info on the internet about Pex. Here's a site to get you started: http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=h ... e/PEX.html
Good luck

RE: What type of PEX fittings
Hi I followed the path of the old plumbing and entered each room through the old hole in the floor. Yes a separate line form the manifold. Pex has all the various fittings needed for the connections. Sounds like you plan to do a first class job. Do you know that Pex comes in red (hot) and blue (cold...

Hi
It's all doable. I would get Mark's Repair Manual. Here's a link:
http://www.mobilehomerepair.com/order.htm#catalog
You'll be glad you got this manual.
Also some profile info will help answer your questions.
Lots of good folks on this forum.

RE: building a mobile home from scratch
Hi Never built one from scratch but have done some pretty extensive rebuilds. I was looking at SIPs construction just the other day for a detached garage I'd like to build. If I go ahead it will be on a slab. In your case you want to transport it to the park. Have you considered using the frame of a...

RE: How do you attach a pic on here?
Around here modulars and Manufactured homes are built very similar....and by the same manufacturers.
Modulars - are fastened to slabs and the roofs have a little more pitch. Some are even built "on frame" so axles and wheels can deliver them to the site.

RE: Burglar proofing
Hi Tim
A Florida park with mostly migrants is probably a high crime neighborhood. Actually no home is burglar proof.
If someone breaks in while we are away we have insurance.
If someone breaks in while we are here we plan to follow Florida's "Castle Doctrine" law.

RE: 20x56 doublewide: massive 'vibration'
Hi
I don't know how to help the vibration.
We have limestone mining in the county and nearby residents complain all the time about the blasting vibrations.
If you find a solution please let us know.

RE: Arsonist Still On The Loose!
Hi Wondering... are there more arsonists today or are they getting more media coverage? Seems like ya hear about them all the time. Re: Fires - yesterday I called Comcast to report my cable tv outage. Seems a car crash caused a brush fire which burned a critical cable junction. No tv for 12 hours......

RE: venting skirting
Hi Amy
I see you are in Alabama. Have you considered a vinyl skirting such as Parkside Vinyl skirting by Georgia Pacific? It is perforated and thus no need install vents. My home has it ... see my photos.
Just curious.
