Cosmetic damage to tub drain
Hello! I didn't want to jack kabucha's post but had a similar question :). If you read my previous post about kitchen and bathroom plumbing issues then this situation won't be new to you. The short version of my problem is that over about 2 weeks my tub was backing up with water from all the drains ...

Re: Kitchen/bathroom plumbing issue
Countrydan- certainly not me! Ponch37300- Yeah I looked around a little while I was down there. The pipes are a combo of PVC and I think copper along with some duct tape- probably not gonna last real long lol. Inside I see PEX and a lot of the lines have individual shut offs, sinks and toilets. I'm ...

Re: Kitchen/bathroom plumbing issue
Well gentlemen, after several days of this terrible nightmare it has finally been fixed! :D Before I go any further I want you all to know how much help you have been! So here's what the problem was, and really most of the ideas and suggestions were spot on but wouldn't have totally fixed it. There ...

Re: Kitchen/bathroom plumbing issue
Anybody help with posting my pix? I tried to attach to previous post and it said it was too big. Not sure why, it's just an iPhone pic. I see lots of others posted with numerous pix
If all else fails I'll link to shutterfly or something.

Re: Kitchen/bathroom plumbing issue
Countrydan, I know, I have felt the same way like if I could just get in the tub it would clear it up! The water did go down in the tub drain though when I had toilet off- it emptied in the tub and rose in the toilet drain. 1987Commodore and Ponch37300, I couldn't get down the working toilet with my...

Re: Kitchen/bathroom plumbing issue
Ugh, I am exhausted, I'm so filthy that 10 showers probably won't make me feel clean! 1987Commodore, I got only a small gob maybe an inch big on the end of my snake 50 feet down. That might be getting close to the clog then you think? I was able to run the sink in the stopped up bathroom and probabl...

Re: Mending a dented AC vent
Ok I might have posted a little too quickly- so if I did, forgive me? :) I call it a collar cause that's what it said at the mobile home place but I think they call it a starter too. It's the piece that comes up from main duct and is attached to the opening in the floor like your pic. Unless of cour...

Re: Kitchen/bathroom plumbing issue
Hi bondo and thanks for the response. I'm certainly not opposed to snaking the tub but unfortunately there is nothing I can find on how to do that. I have a plastic tub that's one piece and a drain thing with a bar or cross in it that prevents me from sticking anything other than a zip it thing down...

Re: Kitchen/bathroom plumbing issue
Guys I'm sorry for long rambling posts, just trying to give as much info as possible. So the short version is - I fed my new 50 foot snake into toilet drain with no miraculous result thus far. Any idea what that means? Do I just keep going back in? Why would my other bathroom still be working fine i...

Re: Kitchen/bathroom plumbing issue
Ok, been at it for a couple hours now. Toilet is off. We have a 50, yes 50 foot snake that we fed through the sewer drain in the floor. We have maybe 3 feet or so left out with the handle to try to wiggle and twist if we hit something but so far the only thing we hit was a bend or two that we pushed...

Re: Kitchen/bathroom plumbing issue
Our handyman is great and may very well have a snake etc.. I would have asked him for help but the park manager would have his a** if she found out and she surely would. I'm certain he would have gladly helped me but I wouldn't want to get him in trouble. We routinely get letters about what is our r...

Re: Kitchen/bathroom plumbing issue
I didn't think of that 1987Commodore-the shut off being under the manhole cover or in the yard or something. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place completely. I'm gonna see if I can hit up the park handy man this week to see if he knows where it is and then figure out how to install one in the house ...

Re: Kitchen/bathroom plumbing issue
Ok, 1987Commodore, you have answered my questions so that everything finally clicks for me-thank God! I guess I wasn't getting why I would bother with taking the toilet off if I could just go through a sink but that definitely makes sense. Hitting the main drain directly without having to find the c...

Re: Kitchen/bathroom plumbing issue
So does it sound to you like the toilet is the problem? Would the plugged toilet cause everything to back up into the tub and the tub not to drain at all? I think I can get the toilet off, doesn't seem too complicated, just unscrew and lift. Is it really that simple? These are newer toilets although...

Re: Kitchen/bathroom plumbing issue
Okay, here is a post about the drain thing. Sounds like I could attach to hose and go through kitchen pipe with p trap removed. I still have no idea however, if this is even my real problem. Has anyone used one of these with success, or serious failure? My garden hose does not have good pressure, re...
