Re: Add insulation to ceiling
I had a EPDM Rubber Roof put on my 1985 MH. The installers recommended that they add 3'' Board Insulation under the Rubber Roofing, which I did. The Cost was Very Reasonable with a 12 Year Warranty. It really keeps it Noticeably Cooler in the Summer and a lot Warmer in the Winter. It also added extr...

Re: spiders
Go to a hardware store and purchase some Bug Bombs.
They will take care of the spiders and every other kind of bug under there.
Its a good idea to Bug Bomb under your Mobile and the inside the Mobile at the same time, that way the bugs have nowhere to go except Heaven.

Oil or Oilless Air Compressor/Winterizing
I winterized my Northern Wi. M.H. every year after Deer Season. I have been doing this for last few years. I blow out the waterlines and then pump in RV antifreeze. This summer I had the M.H. plumbing redone with all Pex. I saw an article about winterizing a M.H. and the guy said not to blow out the...

whole home water filter
I am thinking about putting in a whole home water filter to catch some the iron, rust and sediment that keeps coming my M-H and getting into the washing machine and other fixtures. The ones I see at Home Depot and Lowes run about $60.00. Who uses these and do they really work? Will these filters red...

Revolv furnace
Called a hvac company about replacing my old presidential 2.
He recommends a Revolv DGAA070 down flow LP furnace.
What is a down flow furnace.
Any comments about Revolv furnaces good or bad.
Thanks

Mobile Home HVAC near IronMountain Mi
I posted a couple times about my old Coleman Presidential II 7600 propane furnace. The flame is somewhat big and burning orange. The heat exchanger seems fine but the furnace is from 1985. Its on the Wisconsin and upper Michigan border and I use this MH as a vacation getaway from spring all the way ...

New Flue-Old Furnace?
Looks like I might have a chimney problem. Orangeish big flame on my old presidential ll furnace. Heat exchanger is good, no cracks or holes. Furnace is only used for a couple weeks out of the year. I was told that the flues rust out and fall off after time and could result in to much air getting in...

Re: Orange/blue Flame
I should add, when the Hvac tech replaced the gas valve and lit the furnace, he watched the flame for several minutes through the pilot hole to see if the flame danced around which would have indicated a crack in the heat exchanger. He did not see or notice anything unusual and that's when he told m...

Orange/blue Flame
I have an older Presidential II furnace in my seasonal mobile Home near Michigans upper peninsula. It has been converted from Natural to LP Gas. I recently had the gas valve replaced and the tech told me that the flame in the furnace was burning a little to orange. He told me that it looked okay but...
