Re: moving MH to next lot
Hi, I am with Greg on this one. There are also other factors to include...moving this old home may cause even further damage/repairs. Are you prepared for the electrical hook up, septic etc...all this requires permits and inspections. Generally something "free" is not free after all. I am ...

Hi, I agree with Arlo. I would also like to add that one of the very best things you can do is wash your hands frequently after you have been out in public/common areas. I now carry a small container of hand sanitizer around. I no longer shake hands with anyone. Our local hospitals and clinics are a...

Re: How do I know if its a loadbearing wall?
I have always been told that any wall in a double wide running perpendicular with the floor joist is load bearing. I know that to be the truth with my doublewide.

Re: Winterizing your home!
Hi, Welcome to the site. I seperated your post from the thread you attached to. This is a HVAC question. I will move your thread there and the tech can respond. Please read the posting tips for that forum. Without additional info the tech can not always answer your questions promptly. Thank you, Yan...

Re: MODS, where is the albums
Hi Jim,
I believe at this time there is no photo album option. Last I "think" I heard was this is an add on that needs to be done. Hopefully it will come soon.
Sorry for the inconvenience, I miss that feature also!

Re: Outside Decorations
I use really large suction cups for wreaths of the front door. Have not found a hanger that fits the door properly. What exactly are you wanting to hang? For Christmas lights I have little hanger type things that attach to the gutters. As for the exterior walls of my home they are devoid of all deco...

Winterizing your home!
It's getting to be that time of year folks. Time to get your home ready for old man winter. I will start off with a few simple things to do and hopefully other members can add to it... Has your furnace had it's yearly cleaning and check up by a pro? If not now is the time to do it, not when it gets ...

Re: Outside Decorations
Your post said the front door...not siding. I have seen hangers that slip up inside the siding, but I am not comfortable with that idea. I have nothing hanging off the siding of my home. I certainly do not recommend putting a hole in the siding. I suppose you could try the 3M stick type hangers, dep...

Re: 19 Year Old Double Wide Pit Set Problems
Hi Gentlemen, Thanks for the clarification, and now I do recall this set up from a post made a few years back. I looked at your pics... in one of them there appears to be a black thing coming down the side of the home. Is this attached to a rain gutter...if so make sure that it is draining water awa...

Hi, Welcome to the site. Well I must say that I have never seen this asked either, but must admit that it is one that Hubby and I have entertained. not for the same reasons as you though. About the only suggestion I can give at this time is...for the insulation we thought that maybe we could use spr...

Re: 14 x 70 Renovations
Hi, I don't always understand all that I know...but I can say this happened to us as well. With all the insulation upgrades and new siding your home is more air tight than it used to be. Until you can get your new windows in make sure to use the stove vent when cooking, bathroom vents when showering...
