Outrigger and Ibeam bolts
Okay so over time and I guess through the cold weather my bolts have come loose. I've tightened them down and it's about 48 degrees right now. When the weather gets hot will these bolts be too tight? Also.. are these the bolts that hold the home to the frame?

Re: Question about subfloor
Looks like that is the case. I was under there sealing the hole where the HVAC lines run out today and as far as I could reach there was nothing. I guess if it's ever a concern I can always add support but I've moved a 350lb safe over it with no issues. The main reason I looked in there was to make ...

Question about subfloor
Hi, so my home is a pretty standard 16x80 floor plan where the furnace is located right next to the master bedroom in the hallway by the back door. One thing I've noticed over the years is that the floor in front of the furnace in the hallway doesn't feel the same as the rest of the floor. It creaks...

Re: Question about vapor barrier
Thanks Greg, I am just checking every week or so to make sure it stays dry. From what I've been told our water table is much higher than other places so I'm wondering if the ground water rising is causing condensation on the vapor barrier. I don't have any sagging in the areas and also there is no p...

Question about vapor barrier
Hi, I had a quick question. I just started setting up my vapor barrier. For the most part everything is dry now especially near the center. However, I did notice one problem. On the back side of my home I am seeing small pools of maybe 4x4" of water pooling on the vapor barrier. Here is current...

Re: metal border around base of siding
Okay so I figured out what this is.. It's the starter strip for the siding. It's unpainted metal and I'm guessing rusted over the years. Since I'm working on eliminating the moisture issues hopefully this will slow down and stop when I do the rust converter and repaint the frame this spring.

Re: Small bits of condensation on underbelly.
Okay so last night in the middle of all this cold I laid down the first 20 or so feet of vapor barrier. Got up this morning and it's dry in that area... good start. Thanks Greg.

Re: Small bits of condensation on underbelly.
I have about six or seven panels of the skirting that is perforated down the center. I assume I need more? Also.. can this wait till spring or is this a dire situation?

metal border around base of siding
So I discovered I have a metal border that sits under the base of my siding right about where the top back for the skirting connects. I've found a few patches that are rusty. This is a 2000 mobile home. It looks like this metal is thin and stapled to the boards under the siding. Can this be repaired...

Small bits of condensation on underbelly.
Hello, I've been fixing some things under the house recently. Yesterday I found that my dryer vent was off and venting under the house. Tonight I went back down to check and make sure it's fine and it is. In the process I noticed that my skirting panels have small bits of sweat and there is a tiny b...
