Re: Leak Around Sliding Glass Door?
depending on theextent of the affected area and how long it's been wet, you could dry it out ,and try some capet fresh or some thing of that sort, i would pay close atention to the floor it's self for damage. partical board or osb doen't like to get wet much it does funny things like fall apart, if ...

Re: leaking tub/shower is one solid unit
just a thought , i know it's not a good or perm reapir ,but it could buy some time or help isolate the leak. the seal around the drain in the tube may have been broken, the fact that it gets worse when the tub is holding water. makes me think that . dry out the tub around the drain and a apply water...

Re: Bathtub
i've learned quickly when building anything in my m/h or my daughter's square is relative. that's hard for me being the son of a machinist engineer, everything exact close tolerances , yeah right dad. i was doing my bath and because of lack of tub options i went with a shower enclosure. and g...

Re: Leak Around Sliding Glass Door?
would check all the seams again and the lower track, may have to simulate the condition with a hose so you can see the water intrusion , if possble.water could come in at the top and run down the inside of a beam and puddle on the floor . may not even be the door , could be roof. had leak in my bed ...

Re: Cats using flower beds as litterbox!!!
got the same prob here too, but my dog is smaller than most of the cats. my wife tried pins in a piece card board, like they used for pigons , that worked only once, heard that sucker step on them too that night, but the next day there was a pile neatly placed right between the 2 pieces of pin taint...

Re: Mesh or Paper?
i tried both also and the self stick mesh works better than the paper. but like greg i had issues with the mesh being exsposed after sanding, mostly if you are butting a new edge to a existing edge that isn't beveled. it's great for inside corners

Re: Sweating toilet tank
i found a toilet at home depot no sweat design made by glacier bay , it has a bucket in the tank and tips when you push the handel, thus the only time water is in the tank is when you flush. it cost me about 100 bucks. but no more puddles under the tank.

only 4 feet of dry wall? that from the floor up right? heck the wall is only about 7 feet, i'd just do the all the way up less seams that way and with the walls opened up you may find some other issue that can be resolved, and yeah i've got a indoor main shut off right next to my water heater . goin...

Re: Resilient Vinyl Flooring
hello, been thinking about that stuff too, not sure how it would work in a m/h though, it's glued to the floor and these things move a bit, witch seems to be common. although being vynle type it's plyable and may not be a prob. i've got same issue, kitchen and pallor open and a hall and bath., i put ...
