RE: New to forum and saying hello
Dakota, We have no problems with links that are relitive to the topic or post. We have been hit by spammers that just post links to their sites, (Drugs, porn, etc). Usually as soon as one of the moderators sees it it's history, and the member is deleted. We are a family site here, as long as everyon...

RE: Deck, but no footers allowed!
Char, If you cannot find the ones at lowes or the depot, you can buy a bag of concrete and cast your own. I made some for our deck 15 years ago. All I did was form up a 12"x12" square with 2x4 and fill the form with concrete. It has held up well so far. Greg

RE: Under The Kitchen Sink!
Maureen, Just a thought since I cannot see what you are working with. Is there any way you can work on the drain lines from the top side? Most cabinets (unless they have been changed) are mushboard, now would be a good time to put a plywood bottom in the sink cabinet. That may allow you to get to wh...

RE: doorway question
Brad, A lot depends on how your home is built. There may or may not be enough room to easily put a full size door in with out some reconstrusting. You will need at the very least a double top header so make sure you have enough room to put that in. Greg

RE: Cinder block or Metal jackstands?
Hi, Another new family member. Personally I would go the concrete block route if for no other reason a steel jack stand will eventually rust, plus I think properly installed blocks will be more stable. Greg

This is strictly a guess, but cathedral ceilings were probably an option, so to save a little money it was ordered with flat ceilings for the "lesser used" rooms. Greg

RE: anyone use Congoleum flooring?
Congoleum is one of the better flooring types but many of us are going with laminate. It is a mush more durable floor, and my Armstromg that I put down 5 years ago still looks like new. it is a tough floor, the cleaning instructions state the use soap & water, for tough spots use Acetone. can't ...

Mark does have a few different styles of crimpers an different price ranges. I just bought the type that uses vise grips, I don't do that much to justify $100. set, and his prices are comparable with E bay. Greg

I agree JD. I have followed it from the first season, but this year I just cannot get into it. Perhaps 3 days a week is just too much, or as you say it is no longer about talent. Greg
