The previous owner of my home must of had a leak in or near the peak so the took and nailed tar paper down to "fix" the roof, well now the tar paper is gone and when they nailed the tar paper on they just nailed into the metal no studs so now I have about 4 lines of nails going across my roof, We tried spreading the new roof coating down thick over them but they are still there.

How do we go about fixing this ??

A good roof caulk would last quite a while if we are talking nail or screw holes I would use Vulkem 116. A polyurethane roof sealant from Sonneborn or PL would be good choices too.

You could also use your elastomeric with some roof seam tape. They have it where ever they sell elastomeric sealant.
