Shower Window Trim Ideas

The window opening in the shower is trimmed in wood as is the sill and stiles. Sill and stiles are wood paneling that has been painted over. The window frame itself is vinyl. The shower/tub is a one piece plastic or fiberglass enclosure. I won't be pulling it.

I have to pull the wood, what should I go back with?
Thanks.

EDIT
I pulled the sill, stiles and trim. It a little wet underneath but not bad. Still 99% solid wood. I have a small heater and a fan in there with the door closed to try and dry it out.
Any hints for drying it out quickly?

Home centers have PVC boards, maybe you could use that with caulking to seal.

Stan, you are drying it out the right way, heat & fan. The only other thing may be a small de-humidifier if you have one.

Commodore is right PVC boards may work great in there.

PVC and caulk it in good. Shower water can be sneaky, especially if kids are using it. They just love to "splash" everything....walls, ceilings, and floors.

Thanks, picked some up.
If I cut it, do I have to seal the cuts or is it 100% PVC?

It's 100% PVC, I used white silicone to hide the nail heads when I used it for window trim outside. You could use some silicone to hide the cuts also.

If you want to make the PVC joints watertight (PVC to PVC) go to the plumbing department and pick up some PVC plumbing cement. Just make sure you don't get it on any exposed surfaces.
