RE: siding prob.

Hi again. Well, now it's much worse . We've had extreme (below zero, basically for 2 mo.). Now, it's very rainy, & windy but warmer. It is supposed to drop next week (at night) in the teens. Anyway, about 3 feet of the siding above my 2 LR window, has peeled, (prob. from all the rain?) and it fl...

HELP-water/furnace!

 Yes, that's right. We've had high winds, fairly heavy rain, & water has gotten in my Coleman furnace. Not a lot, but enough. This has happened twice before. I do have a service agreement with my heat provider, but I still have to fork out $100.00 (each) to cover the circuit board. I prob. ...

RE: siding prob.

Hey, THANKS Brenda! I'm going to leave it for now, way too cold. Not to mention I must rent at least a 7ft ladder, to get way up there. Any/all suggestions are appreciated!

Hi, again, hopefully this thread won't get shut down  Anyways, I've had this ongoing problem I have a double window in my living room. It leaks water from the top when there's heavy rain. Right now of course, it's the dead of winter, luckily no (melted or otherwise) snow has come in. The sidin...

Re: RE: Finding handyman..

M'am....I'm sorry I live so far away. I regret that I have no secure answer but do not be discouraged. On reading some previous posts I saw where one of our friends had a plumbing problem that she could find no answer for and suddenly.....a plumber arrived..with the exact correct parts in hand! Go ...

Re: RE: Finding handyman..

Tiny let me offer up a few thoughts here in an effort to help. First and foremost when dealing with contractors or handypersons (yes..wimminfolks do this too!) ask your friends and neighbors. Don't be bashful about walking right in and talking to a homeowner as they are having some repairs/work don...

Finding handyman..

or contractor. I've been ripped off  (twice). No small amounts, either. It doesn't look like I can get any $ back, or even complain. I've been on a 'list' to find reliable contractors/handymen, so far no one does this type of work! Although, I did send out 5 more fresh emails requesting quotes...
